Product Change Details

Note

The information below is current at the time this report was published. There is a possibility the final release may contain additional changes. These will be described in the associated release report.

South Australian State Electoral Boundaries

The South Australian State Electoral Boundaries will be updated in the upcoming data release. These changes reflect the most recent redistribution undertaken by the South Australian Electoral Commission. The updated boundaries will come into effect for the 2026 State Election on Saturday 21 March.

Users should review any dependent analyses, mapping products, or applications to ensure compatibility with the new boundaries once released. Further details, including a summary of changes, will be provided as part of the February 2026 release report.

Local Government Area (LGA) Updates

South Australia (SA):

  • Boundary updates within the Maralinga Tjarutja LGA have removed a previously existing gap, improving spatial completeness.

New South Wales (NSW):

  • The Walcha Council LGA geometry has been updated. It now encompasses seven localities (previously six).

Locality Updates

South Australia (SA):

  • Southwark (a new locality) has been created and added to the dataset, including a new locality polygon.

Northern Territory (NT):

  • Asche (a new locality) has been introduced. This locality was created by splitting Holtze into two parts, resulting in two new locality polygons.

New South Wales (NSW):

  • A new LGA–locality link has been added for Bendemeer as a result of the updated Walcha Council boundary.
