- Title: National Property
- Abstract: National Property is a seamless national geospatial representation of Australia's property parcels-land areas recognised by local government (or the ACT equivalent) as a single valued/rateable entity-derived from State and Territory sources and supplied with digital boundaries and legal identifiers.
- Purpose: To provide organisations with consistent, national-scale property boundary and identifier data (including jurisdictional contributor IDs for valuation/rates use) that supports analysis and integration with related datasets such as National Cadastre, G-NAF and Buildings for commercial, government and research applications.

This dataset is available from Geoscape Australia.
Statement:
National Property is produced by processing property (valuation/rates) data sourced from each Australian State and Territory, then mapping and standardising jurisdictional attributes into a consistent national definition. The associated geometries are cleaned and processed to produce a topologically consistent national layer of property boundaries. Each record represents the overall coverage of a single rateable property and includes a Contributor ID (the jurisdiction's identifier) to support linkage back to valuation/rates systems. In production, Geoscape creates a single property representation by combining land valuation/rates information with National Cadastre and, where a property comprises multiple cadastral parcels, performing a union of relevant cadastre boundaries to preserve the outer boundary accuracy as supplied by jurisdictions. The dataset is then quality-controlled through geometry validity checks (e.g., resolving self-intersections, spikes/bow-ties, duplicate vertices, null/multipart geometries, and some minor overlaps in base property), and is continuously maintained with releases on a monthly schedule.
